During my vacation, I missed getting the newspaper twice and I'm afraid gaps in my knowledge of what went on those days are going to be showing up for years. Probably someone important died that I don't know about.
There are so many stories I'd hate to have missed. Yesterday I read where the communist government of China discouraged people from owning dogs in the 1960s and 1970s. Now Chinese people can own dogs but the dogs can't be more than 13-1/2 inches tall. That's something everyone should know in case they ever want to take their dog on a trip to China.
