Rebuilding relationships.(Editor's Prologue)

As the insurance industry struggles to reshape itself in response to recent investigations into long-standing practices, Best's Review called together key players to talk about how that reshaping can be accomplished and what has to happen to make it a success. At a round-table discussion in Philadelphia, two brokers, two risk managers, an insurer and a regulator exchanged ideas about the problems and the solutions. While the speakers didn't always agree, they identified common themes, including transparency and service. Our "Big Picture" cover story, "Restoring Trust" on page 24, details their suggestions for revitalizing the relationship between brokers and insurers.
