Gambling survey

A SURVEY aimed at understanding the online gambling behaviour ofAustralians has been launched by Dr Sally Gainsbury of SouthernCross University.

"My hope is this survey will assist in developing appropriatepolicies to regulate internet gambling because it's one of thefastest growing forms of gambling in Australia and there is littleknown about its social and economic impact," Dr Gainsbury said.

The survey is available atwww.psych.usyd.edu.au and takes 10 to15 minutes to complete.

Snake warning

THE NSW ambulance service is urging people to be cautious ofsnakes, after receiving 38 triple-0 calls for snake bites in thepast month.

Snake safety tips:

If you find a snake, leave it alone and walk away; snakes rarelybite unless threatened.

Never touch or attempt to catch snakes.

Watch where you're walking in areas snakes may inhabit such aslong grass.

When bushwalking, stay on designated tracks.
