The popularity of playing poker on the Internet in spite of thefact the practice exists in legal limbo, is staggering. By someestimates it's a $2 billion dollar a year industry, with more thanone million players going online to play each month.

I've always considered it somewhat paradoxical that for a game inwhich a talent to "read" your opponents' emotions are as integral tosuccess as skill, poker attracts the same fascination in the virtualworld as in the real one.
